HAMILTON TOWNSHIP — Construction on a portion of Main Street has been extended through the end of December.

Work on Main Street between Farragut Avenue and the Sugar Hill intersection will continue until the end of the year, police said Thursday in an alert.

The section of Main Street will be closed in both directions from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Main Street will be open to only westbound traffic from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. while the eastbound lane remains closed.

Police warn drivers to continue avoiding the area.
