An apparent fight over a woman in Atlantic City ended with one man stabbed with a knife and another arrested.

Franklin Williams was in the 1300 block of Adriatic Avenue shortly after 2 p.m., when he was cut in the cheek by Willie Wyatt, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said.

Wyatt, 51, of Mays Landing, had come looking for his girlfriend, and found her with Williams, according to the report.

After a description of the suspect's car was put out, K-9 Officer Sam Rando spotted it parked in the 200 block of North Kentucky Avenue, McMenamin said. When Rando called to have it towed, Wyatt ran out -- and was arrested.

Wyatt was also found in possession of two knives -- including the one believed to have been used in the attack.

Wyatt is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, aggravated assault and terroristic threats. His bail is set at $35,000.

Williams refused treatment for his injury, but did sign a complaint, McMenamin said.
