HAMILTON TOWNSHIP — A Gloucester County man was injured in a single-car crash Thursday, police said.

Lawrence Potts, 58, of Franklinville, was driving west on Route 40 near South Avenue about 4 p.m. when he crossed the right shoulder, struck a mailbox, utility pole and an unoccupied home, police said. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

The road was closed for several hours due to the broken utility pole.
