MILLVILLE -- Police said they arrested and charged a 36-year-old man and three teenagers after a .45-caliber handgun was stolen from a house in the 900 block of Church Street on Thursday night.
Police said on Monday that a 14-year-old girl living in the house allowed 12- and a 13-year-old boys into the house while the adult resident was at work.
The boys forced their way into a locked bedroom, police said, throwing a lockbox with the gun and $160 out a window, leaving with the gun and cash.
Police said the boys passed the handgun to another 16-year-old boy, who then passed it to 36-year-old Kamara Robbins, of Millville.
Police charged the 12- and 13-year-olds with burglary, theft, unlawful possession of a weapon and criminal mischief. Police said the 12-year-old was also wanted on unspecified warrants.
Police charged the 16-year-old and Robbins with receiving stolen property and also charged Robbins with unlawful possession of a weapon.
The Cumberland County Jail on Monday said Robbins was held on a $12,876 outstanding child-support warrant.
The handgun remains missing, police said, and asked anyone with information to call Millville Police Department Detective Sean Guy at 856-825-7010, ext. 7324.
