A Margate man was arrested on several drug and weapons charges in Ventnor after he amphetamines and a stun gun were found in his car following a traffic stop, police said.

David Ben-Shitrit, 20, was pulled over shortly after 6 p.m. on Sept. 28, Ventnor Sgt. Charles Wood said. About 35 pills of amphetamines were found after a search of the vehicle, Wood said, as well as a stun gun.

Ben-Shitrit was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute, and three weapons charges including possession, possession for an unlawful purpose and possession of a prohibited weapon. He was released after posting bail.
