EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — Three suspects were arrested on multiple drug charges during a motor vehicle stop early Monday morning, police said.

According to a press release, at 12:39 a.m., Officer Edward Stearns stopped a vehicle on Route 322 near English Creek Avenue in the Cardiff section of the township. Stearns was assisted by K-9 Officer Robert Sheppard and his partner Neiko, who found quantities of heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Police also said they found the proceeds from a vehicle burglary that occurred in Absecon on July 16.

Kevin Thomas, 21, of Hamilton Township, James Johnson, 44, of Sarasota, Florida, and Crystal Killkenny, 25, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, were arrested.

Thomas was charged with possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needles. He was additionally charged with receiving stolen property, hindering his own apprehension and in three additional car burglaries that occurred in the township in January.

Johnson was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and hypodermic needles, receiving stolen property and motor vehicle charges.

Killkenny was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and hypodermic needles and receiving stolen property.

All three were released on summons with court dates.
