HAMILTON TOWNSHIP - The driver of an overturned vehicle was trapped inside the vehicle on westbound Atlantic City Expressway at 12:45 p.m. today, according to state police.

The accident was reported at mile marker 13.5 on the Expressway, and only one vehicle was involved.

The driver was headed westbound in an SUV with trailer attached when it fishtailed and overturned, police said.

The driver was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus for minor injuries. His dog, was okay, police said.

Police said the right lane will be shut down on the westbound Expressway near the accident until the vehicle is removed.

All lanes remained open, according to Sgt. Adam Grossman.

The right lane is closed, according to 511nj.org.

The accident is under investigation.
