The Atlantic County Utilities Authority started its second annual food drive Monday and residents can donate food by leaving it out with their recyclables.

ACUA crews will pick up the donations through Dec. 14 and deliver them to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, Southern Branch in Egg Harbor Township.

Canned foods and baby diapers and formula are most needed, the authority said. For more information or for a list of other drop off locations visit www.acua.com.

In 2011 the authority collected 47,800 pounds of non-perishable food, the organization said in a release.
