Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Monica L. Rivera graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
She is the daughter of Diana Linares, of Buena, and Angel Rivera, of Vineland. Rivera is a 2008 graduate of Buena Regional High School.
Air Force Airman Carlos A. Mancebo graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

He is the son of Fanny Caceres, and stepson Nestor Sosa, of Mays Landing.
Mancebo is a 2004 graduate of Atlantic City High School. He received an associate degree in 2008 from the Art Institute of Philadelphia.
Navy Seaman Voun J. Brown was among the more than 7,500 sailors of the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group who relieved the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group as Commander, Task Force (CTF) 50 and launched its first aircraft sorties from Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 14 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
He is the son of Karen L. Brown, of Pleasantville.

Army National Guard Pvt. Anthony P. Capolingua has completed the Warrior Trans-ition Course at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.
The course teaches basic skills necessary for integration into the Army for all prior-service servicemembers to fully prepare them for Advanced Individual Training or on to their first assignment.
Capolingua is the son of Anthony P. Capolingua Jr., of Collings Lakes, Buena Vista Township. He is a graduate of Buena Regional High School.
In the Peace Corps
Bremen de Haan, 24, of Galloway Township, has been accepted into the Peace Corps.
De Haan will be departing for Panama on Aug. 13 to begin pre-service training as a community economic development Peace Corps Volunteer. He is the son of Darlyne and Rafael de Haan and is a graduate of Absegami High School and the University of North Carolina.
