A Boeing 747 that transports the President of the United States practiced touch-and-go maneuvers for a few hours today at the Atlantic City International Airport.

Known as Air Force One only when the President is aboard, the jet arrived without him around 11 a.m. and had departed by 2 p.m., airport personnel said.

The Presidential plane visits as often as once monthly to take advantage of the airport's low traffic and long runway - 10,000 feet - relative to other hubs, they said.
