The Atlantic City Free Public Library will open its Richmond Branch Library at Ventnor and Windsor avenues at 10 a.m. today.

The library had a branch at the old Richmond Avenue School, which was demolished in 2009 to make way for a new school. The new library is adjacent to the new school, but at 3,000 square feet is five times larger than the previous branch. The large size will allow the library to offer more public computers and more programs.

The library had operated at a temporary site during construction. The new library will be open from Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“We think everyone’s going to love the new Richmond Branch,” library director Maureen Sherr Frank said.
