HAMILTON TOWNSHIP — Police arrested an Atlantic City man in the Woodlands Complex after an investigation resulted in the seizure of a large amount of illegal drugs.

Rasul Abdullah, 43, drove up to and stopped near an officer who was handling a towing dispute Tuesday, pointed at the officer and then sped off, police said.

The officer went after Abdullah, who ran out of his car and into a house for a few moments, police said.

Police saw him come out of the house. An investigation led to seizure of 46 bags of heroin, five bags of cocaine, about 8.4 grams of crack cocaine, 45 oxycodone pills and 12 Xanax pills. A large undisclosed amount of cash was also seized.

Abdullah was charged with multiple counts of drug possession and distribution, and bail was set at $150,000 in Hamilton Township. He was transported to Pleasantville for additional charges in an unrelated narcotics case, police said.

Pleasantville police charged Abdullah with distribution of drugs. Bail was set at $55,000 cash.

He was in the Atlantic County jail.
