A 42-year-old Atlantic City man was shot Saturday night after two males entered his car and demanded valuables.

Richard Davis was in the area of Kentucky and Mediterranean avenues Saturday night after dropping off his girlfriend. While stopped in his vehicle, two males entered the car — one in the front passenger seat and one in the rear seat, according to the Atlantic City Police Department.

After a struggle, Davis was shot in his car by two men identified by detectives as Austin Clark, 20, and Jahbri Bazemore, 18. Davis was shot in the hand and right leg and sustained graze gunshot wounds to his left rib and left leg, police said.

Davis got out of the car and fled on foot. After contacting police, he was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, and is expected to survive, McMenamin said.

Warrants have been issued for Clark and Bazemore on charges of aggravated assault with a weapon and weapons offenses. They were identified as the result of an investigation by Detective Anthony Abrams.
