Ten people were arrested in Atlantic City early Friday afternoon on drug charges after a one-month investigation.

At about 1 p.m., members of the city Police Department's SWAT and Tac teams and Vice Unit searched a home on the first block of North Virginia Avenue, Lt. James Sarkos said.

More than 30 grams of crack cocaine valued at about $3,000 on the street and 24 grams of marijuana were seized along with $857 in cash believed to be the proceeds of criminal activity.

All were charged with various drug offenses.

Seven people were jailed on $25,000 bail set by Municipal Court Judge Bruce Ward. They were: Shakira Timberlake, 19, of Galloway Township; and Atlantic City residents Darroll Wilson Jr., 23; Emily Cruz, 24; Lena Chandler, 55; Ronnie Rodriguez, 24; Zachary Hammond, 18, and Wayne Burnside, 21.

The following individuals were arrested and released on a summons: John Griffith, 28, and Erasmo Rivera, both of Atlantic City; and Christopher Kraus, 37, of Wharton.

The investigation was led by Detective Daryl Dabney.
