Atlantic County will send out teams this morning to assess local damage, said Public Information Officer Linda Gilmore.
The extent of the damage is not yet known, but Gilmore said they anticipate a lot of damage, especially on the barrier islands and roads and bridges that took on a lot of water in the storm.
The travel ban remains in effect in the county and access to the barrier islands is still denied.
Gilmore said there is still some space available at shelters in Buena Vista and to contact your local Office of Emergency Management if you need assistance.
