Lucy the Elephant will turn 132 years old on July 20, and an all-day birthday party is in the works.

Patrons of the historic landmark can stop by between 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The event will include food, games, a giant water slide, a birthday cake bounce, dunk tank, an obstacle course and a mechanical elephant carousel ride.

There will be appearances by Evelyn Johnson, of Cape May Court House, who is the author of Lucy's official bedtime storybooks, Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders and stars of the "I Love Lucy, Live on Stage" show appearing at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City.

Proceeds from the event will go toward the elephant's upkeep.

Satellite parking is available at the Union Avenue School playground on Vendome Avenue between Winchester and Monmouth avenues. A free shuttle will be provided.

Lucy is open during the summer from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.
