Demise of Hostess met with jokes, nostalgia, last-minute buying binges at bakery outlet in Egg Harbor Township

Joey Siubis, 35, of Egg Harbor City, a chef by profession, filled a shopping basket with Twinkies on Friday after the company announced it would stop making the iconic yellow spongecakes. He liked them, he said, and was afraid he would no longer be able to get them.

The store is one of dozens threatened with closure after Hostess Brands decided on Friday to stop making its baked goods.
