Joey Siubis, 35, of Egg Harbor City, a chef by profession, filled a shopping basket with Twinkies on Friday after the company announced it would stop making the iconic yellow spongecakes. He liked them, he said, and was afraid he would no longer be able to get them.
Sylvester Raeford, 63, of Galloway Township pays for graham crackers and butter cookies on Friday at the Hostess Bakery Thriftshop on Tilton Road in Egg Harbor Township, while store manager Georgeanne Julia, 60, of Winslow Township, Camden County, takes his money. The store is one of dozens threatened with closure after Hostess Brands decided on Friday to stop making its baked goods.
