A frost advisory is in effect in Atlantic, Cumberland and Ocean counties from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The National Weather Service said temperatures are expected to be unseasonably cold with lows in the 30s, and frost is most possible between 2 a.m. and sunrise – about 5:45 a.m.

The frost and temperatures could have a damaging impact on sensitive outdoor plants as well as fruits and vegetables, the service said. Plants should be covered or brought indoors, the service said.
