Jonathon Peter Photography does local and destination weddings, engagement shoots, family portraits and pretty much any kind of special event photo, whether a bar mitzvah, wedding or anniversary.

We’ll have a couple into our studio upstairs and go over their wedding day and determine how we can help them. Downstairs is primarily an art gallery, where we display photo products.

We’ll work from when the bride is getting ready early in the morning until the last song of the night. We make sure there are a lot of nice pictures, and we don’t believe in putting a time frame on that.

Included is an engagement shoot, done on a location that’s special to the couple. That’s a nice way to get to know the couple, and they get to see how we work, which makes for a more relaxed wedding.

We travel for weddings. We’ll be going to Italy in August to shoot a wedding, and we expect to shoot one in France as well.

Family portraits depend on what people are looking to do. We like shooting on different locations, which makes it more fun for us.

We offer prints, large prints, canvases, whatever they want. Whether a portrait or a wedding, we provide high-res images on a DVD for them. They’re also on a website with a password, where they can view them and allow others to see them too. We also include shared copyright privileges for wedding photos in our prices.

People can use us to design and create their albums, or take their photos and print them themselves.

Our basic, all-inclusive wedding package is $2,995. Everything can also be arranged a la carte.

We also do a lot of landscape photography. Fellow photographer Steve Maciejewski, of Egg Harbor Township, helps with that.

Entry: Pete and I have done weddings for years, often working for other photographers in the region. We opened this shop, and we’re excited to have the space to meet people.

The future: We’ve been doing a little more sports photography recently, with families contacting us to photograph their children’s games or martial arts. That’s really fun too. We specialize in weddings but enjoy the variety.
