The new $20 million Atlantic City advertising campaign for 2013 will focus on the variety of events taking place in the city this year, according to the Atlantic City Alliance.

The 2013 ads, which will officially debut today during the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce breakfast at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel, will run in the New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore-D.C. markets.

“Last year, we introduced the new Atlantic City to people,” said Atlantic City Alliance spokesman Jeff Guaracino. “This year, we’re introducing the hundreds of reasons for people to come now.”

The initial ads, which advance the Atlantic City Airshow in June and the Boardwalk Wine Promenade in May, will be previewed at the chamber breakfast and begin airing in New York on April 15, Guaracino said. The final number of different events to be included in the campaign will not be set until the final media buys, which include print and radio, are made.

The Atlantic City Alliance, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority also will discuss a new events series, additional public art projects and a “Do Anything Do AC Road Show” at the breakfast.
