EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — A 60-year-old motorcyclist from Atlantic City was killed in an accident Saturday afternoon on the Black Horse Pike across from the Howard Johnson’s hotel.

Police did not release the name of the man Saturday night pending the notification of next of kin.

The motorcyclist was driving west on the Black Horse Pike about 12:30 p.m. when he failed to maintain control of the Harley Davidson motorcycle and it began to skid, police said.

The motorcycle slid across the road and into a car driven by Carmen G. Montero, 36, of Galloway Township, police said.

The motorcyclist was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, in Atlantic City and was pronounced dead about 1:30 p.m.
