Pinky Kravitz and Barbara Altman were inducted Wednesday into the New Jersey Broadcasters Hall of Fame at the association’s 65th annual gala at Caesars Atlantic City.

Kravitz, host of the “Pinky’s Corner” radio program and a Press of Atlantic City columnist — celebrates his 55th year of broadcasting this year on WOND-AM 1400. He also was the original recipient of NJBA Lifetime Achievement award. Altman, host of the “Barbara Altman’s Front Porch” radio show, was the first female broadcaster in South Jersey to headline her own talk program when she took to the airwaves almost 50 years ago.

“I am thrilled,” Kravitz said Thursday. “Being acknowledged by your peers is one of the nicest things that can happen to you. It’s a stamp of approval of what you have done, when you question yourself about all you’ve been involved in. ... It’s just an honor I’d never thought about. It’s really a nice thing to have happened to me in my life.”
