BRIGANTINE- Police are actively investigating a series of burglaries that has targeted mostly individual summer homes in the area.

The entry is mostly through unlocked doors and windows, and police are reminding residents to lock up when they are out, said police detective Brian Feeham.

There have been four burglaries reported in the last week in the area of 27th to 39th Street South, police said.

Electronic items such as flat screen televisions and laptop computers have been stolen during the hours of 4 p.m. through early morning hours, police said.

“If you see someone lurking, even if you don’t think it’s a big deal, we might,” Feeham said, urging residents to stay alert.

Suspicious activity should be reported to the Brigantine Police at 609-266-7414.
