ATLANTIC CITY — After eight years in operation, including an expansion three years ago, Dusk nightclub at Caesars Atlantic City has closed.

According to a ruling from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement dated Aug. 30, Dusk has surrendered its Casino Hotel Alcoholic Beverage license.

No one from AC Nightlife LLC, which held the license, could be reached for comment Saturday. Caesars spokeswoman Noel Stevenson said that because Dusk was independently owned and operated, Caesars could not comment on the closing.

The document states the club ceased operations at 10 a.m. Wednesday “pursuant to a verbal agreement with Caesars.”

Dusk, which opened through a partnership with the late DJ AM over July 4 weekend 2009, has hosted famous faces from Good Charlotte’s Benji and Joel Madden and the Black Eyed Peas to reality stars such as Brody Jenner and Kristin Cavallari. In spring 2017, ex-TLC star Jon Gosselin made his stripping debut in the club’s male revue.

The multilevel, 10,000-square-foot nightclub featured a circular dance floor and two bars with a DJ booth in the center.

News of Dusk’s closing comes about two weeks after Providence nightclub at Tropicana announced it would close after Labor Day.

Bob Pereira, founder of Providence operator Metronome Hospitality Group, said the company is looking for another location in the city. Tropicana general manager Steve Callender told The Press the casino plans to open a new nightclub in the space.
