ATLANTIC CITY — A car and a taxi crashed in the city Friday afternoon, damaging a fence near Tanger Outlets The Walk.

Just before 12:30 p.m. Friday, two cars were seen damaged on the sidewalk and through a fence at Atlantic and Arkansas avenues near The Children's Place.

Witnesses told police a white car disregarded a red traffic light and crashed into the taxi, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.

The driver of the vehicle, Nilda Rosario, 59, of Deptford, Gloucester County, was issued a ticket for failing to observe a signal.

The taxi driver, a 61-year-old Egg Harbor Township man, was driving a 50-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, both from Maryland.

All four people were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. Police said their injuries were not life-threatening.

Multiple ambulances, police and firefighters responded.
