An Atlantic City man was shot several times early Sunday morning, police said.

Police went to Boston Chicken on Baltic Avenue at about 1 a.m., where they found Nigel Garland, 21, with gunshot wounds to his lower legs.

Witnesses told police that the shooter came from a dark vehicle with several other occupants. He was described as short, wearing dark pants, with a dark hooded sweatshirt underneath a dark jacket.

Witnesses told police that the shooter ran south through Atlantic City Apartments toward Tennessee and Arctic avenues.

Officers searched an apartment in the 1300 block of Baltic Avenue and recovered two handguns and marijuana inside an apartment. No arrests were made. The investigation was ongoing.

Garland was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. His family did not want his condition released.
