Atlantic City police apprehended a man wanted for threats that locked down a college campus in upstate New York.

Lance Leonard, 49, whose last address was in Massachusetts, was located in Atlantic City this morning, police said. No further details were given about the arrest.

Leonard was wanted out of New York on a fugitive warrant for extortion and was arrested at a casino bus waiting area today by patrol units, police said.

The Saratoga Springs Police Department told the Associated Press that the Skidmore College campus went into lockdown Tuesday night after Leonard made threats to harm the female student and then himself.

From Press staff reports and Associated Press.
