Atlantic City police are investigating an assault the resulted from a robbery Monday night.

Officers responded to a fight and call of shots fired at the Seabreeze Motel on Pacific Avenue shortly after 11 p.m.

Police say no one was shot.

A robbery took place earlier on Harrisburg Avenue, and four victims tracked the alleged thieves to the motel's location to confront them, said police Sgt. Monica McMenamin. The victims then assaulted two alleged male suspects and destroyed the motel room.

The two male suspects were transported to a hospital. 

Nine individuals- one is a juvenile- have been arrested, including the two hospitalized, police said.
