Atlantic City’s Revel megaresort will begin booking rooms at noon today as the casino readies to open its doors April 2.
The $2.4 billion casino and resort will make 500 rooms available to book for April 2, the start of an eight-week preview building up to a formal grand opening Memorial Day weekend, Revel spokeswoman Maureen Siman said.
Revel will phase in several hundred more rooms a week after that, she said.
The casino resort, which is opening more than a month ahead of schedule, is completing sections of its rooming, retail shops, nightclubs and restaurants in stages, preparing for May 25, the grand opening that coincides with the unofficial start of summer for the region’s tourism economy.
Advance bookings at Revel will mark another milestone in the long-awaited project, which will be Atlantic City’s first new casino since 2003.
Revel has not yet disclosed room rates. Siman said they would be announced at noon today.
Revel is accepting reservations up to three months in advance on its website, revelresorts.com, Siman said.
Advance room bookings should be an early gauge of interest in the massive project, which includes a 47-story hotel tower.
Revelalso will be Atlantic City’s first smoke-free casino.
“Based on our social media interaction (i.e. Facebook and Twitter) with our guests-to-be, the anticipation is pretty amazing,” Siman said Sunday. “People are really looking forward to booking their rooms, and we’re very optimistic. We’ll see tomorrow how things progress.”
