Several dogs were removed from a home in the Tuckahoe section of Upper Township this afternoon.

Upper Township animal control officials, in conjunction with the New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, went into the home and seized animals, who were reportedly abused, reported a neighbor who saw the seizure.

Officials at the SPCA would not comment on the matter this afternoon and officials from the Shore Veterinary Animal Control Service could not be reached for comment.

This is a developing story. Check back for further details.
