WEST CAPE MAY - Friends, family and the firefighting community held a service Friday morning for volunteer firefighter Warren J. Alexander Jr.

Alexander, 32, of Erma, died unexpectedly on May 22. He was a dedicated member of the West Cape May Volunteer Fire Company, where he was known affectionately as "Humpty."

Funeral services were held at First Assembly of God Church on Seashore Road. The fire company sounded a final alarm for Alexander before driving his casket to the cemetery in a fire engine.
