A gas leak in Lower Township was caused by a contractor installing a water main, but repairs were made by South Jersey Gas crews within an hour.
Traffic was detoured around Beechwood and Oakdale Avenues, from 3rd to 4th Avenues.
No evacuations were ordered and the repairs were finished by 2:30 p.m.
