CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE - A 41-year-old Lower Township man has been charged with distributing drugs, Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor and Lower Township Police Chief Brian Marker announced Thursday.

The arrest followed a long-term narcotics investigation. Mark Adams was arrested after a search warrant was executed at a home in the 700 block of Pilgrim Plaza in North Cape May, authorities said.

Authorities seized the pain medicine oxycodone, Adderall, which is used to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, suspected marijuana, a firearm, ammunition and U.S. currency. A pickup truck was also seized and will be subject to forfeiture action.

Adams was taken to the Cape May County jail with bail set at $30,000.
