A North Wildwood man was arrested for allegedly assaulting two men while armed with a knife.
Donald Hughes, 52, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, being unauthorized to have a weapon, making terroristic threats, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes. He was transported to Cape MayCounty jail on $50,000 bail.
Police responded to 24th and New Jersey avenues at 7:37 p.m. Wednesday and found Hughes allegedly holding a knife in front of two men. Police said Hughes had assaulted the two victims – who knew Hughes.
The two victims refused medical treatment, police said.
