OCEAN CITY — The Ocean City-Longport bridge will close Sunday morning for two hours as runners make their way across it during an annual half marathon.

Motorists should seek a different route between 8 and 10 a.m. The closing is for the area between the toll booth and the first traffic light.

The seventh OCNJ Half Marathon also includes a 5K and a 10-mile noncompetitive run/walk.

The 13.1-mile course passes through various neighborhoods, the downtown business district, and the beaches and Boardwalk.

The race benefits Ocean City recreation scholarships and programs. Racing begins at 8:30 a.m.

Those who participate in the Bike MS City to Shore Ride on Saturday and the run Sunday will receive a Bike MS Run OC award. Email lrumer@ocnj.us for more information.

The fee to participate is $70 through Friday. There is no race-day registration. See ocnj.us/Race-Events.
