A Middle Township man injured his head after being hit by a car Friday morning while crossing Route 47.

Middle Township Police said Jeremiah Sullivan, 53, of Rio Grande, was hit by a car driven by Raymond Norteman, Jr., 74, of Wildwood Crest at about 9:40 a.m. while crossing near the Country Motel.

Police said Sullivan was not crossing at a marked crosswalk. He was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center and police were unsure of his condition.

No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing. Patrolman John Norton and Det. Clint Stocker investigated.
