The Fourth of July celebration was underway here with the 5K Beach ‘n Boardwalk Patriotic Run and Walk.

This was not the only thing patriotic on Five Mile Beach today to celebrate the nation’s birthday. There was also a Patriotic Pooch Parade in North Wildwood and a Patriotic Show in Wildwood Crest, not to mention music and fireworks.

The Wildwoods were not the only places in Cape May County celebrating the holiday: People were streaming into Ocean City, Sea Isle City, Avalon, Stone Harbor and Cape May to attend organized events or just to hold a cook-out by the shore.
