Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority Executive Director John Siciliano said the Wildwoods Convention Center had very minor damage. He said some water that blew under doors required extraction equipment and will mean some carpeting will need to be replaced for the water damage.
Also, some water in the parking lot got under the bulkhead and undermined some of the asphalt, he said.
But overall the center was open last weekend and holding regularly scheduled events.
The damage, he estimated, would cost no more than $50,000 to repair.
“We know we were very, very lucky,” Siciliano said.
