The shore town with the largest beaches is getting ready for its largest concert ever.
Country music superstar Kenny Chesney is coming to Wildwood on Wednesday — along with at least 20,000 fans who received free tickets. Many more are hoping to hear the show or view it on large screens nearby.
The show will take place a day after the release of Chesney’s 13th studio album, “Welcome to the Fishbowl,” and the 75-minute performance will be recorded and broadcast live on YouTube.
Chesney’s “Goin’ Coastal” tour last year grossed nearly $85 million, making it the third most successful tour in North America last year, according to concert industry trade publication Pollstar.
Chesney is currently in the midst of his Brothers of the Sun Tour with Tim McGraw, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and Jake Owen, which made a sold-out stop Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
