The next round of H1N1 vaccine clinics for area residents begins today.

The towns of Bridgeton, in Cumberland County, and Woodbine, in Cape May County, will host public health clinics to vaccinate people who are considered at the highest risk for complications from the the H1N1 influenza virus, also known as "swine flu."

Another clinic is set for Saturday in Manahawkin, Ocean County.

These clinics offer the injectable version of the vaccine. This version is inactive and contains the killed virus, so it is safe for people who are at greatest risk for medical complications from swine flu.

Only high-risk people will be allowed into the clinics. These clinics are limited to pregnant women, people taking care of children younger than 6 months, health care and emergency services workers, anyone ages 6 months to 24 years, and anyone ages 25 to 64 with an underlying medical condition. People who don't fall into one of these groups will be turned away.
