BRIDGETON - A Cumberland County Jail corrections officer traded narcotics to inmates in exchange for money and sex, Cumberland County Prosecutor Ron Casella said Monday.

Sergey Udalovas was arrested while on duty at the jail Saturday. The 52-year-old was charged with official misconduct for supplying inmates with drugs and other contraband in exchange for money and sexual favors.

Udalovas was also charged with aggravated sexual assault of a visitor. Casella said Udalovas sexually penetrated the female visitor in exchange for providing her incarcerated friend with narcotics. In addition to those charges, Udalovas was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, and possession of marijuana.

Casella said the arrest came after a nearly one-month investigation.

Udalovas was arraigned this afternoon. He remains at Atlantic County Jail on $175,000-full cash bail.
