Bears were sighted Thursday night in Vineland, police said.
Police responded to a report of bears in a mobile home park near the 1200 block of North East Boulevard.
“One of the cubs was actually in a tree by one of the trailers,” Lt. Matthew Finley said. “They were going after some of the trash cans there. We got people inside and kind of shooed them back into the woods.”
Finley said New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife was notified.
“They really will not do anything at night because of a safety issue,” Finley said. “They're going to send some people down tomorrow.”
