Tickets went on sale last month for the theater's first shows May 22-23. Actress Bernadette Peters headlines the first day and oldies group The Lettermen take the stage the next day.

The theater's renovation is part of the Four Corners project that the city hopes will remake the neighborhood around East and Landis avenues into a walking district complete with entertainment and plenty of dining options.

The Landis Theater opened in March 1937. Built in the Art Deco style, the theater hosted vaudeville acts and later movies before closing in 1987.

When it opens, the Landis Theater Performing Arts Center will seat 750.

To buy tickets to the shows or for more information, call the Landis Theater box office at 856-691-1121, visit the theater at East and Landis avenues between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. or visit www.landistheater.com
