MILLVILLE - Levoy Theatre and a Vineland-based hospitality company are renewing an agreement that gives theater customers and visiting artists special rates and discounts.

The agreement with Tower Hospitality LLC will run through July 2015, the end of the Levoy's upcoming entertainment season.

When asked if the agreement proved successful during its first year, Levoy Executive Director Jessica Doheny replied, "Absolutely."

Along with giving customer discounts, the program significantly aids the Levoy by providing enough hotel and motel rooms for performers, she said.

"It really is a good deal for us," Doheny said. "Because you have so many people, we never run the risk of not having available rooms when we need them."

Tower Hospitality operates the Days Inn, Wingate by Wyndham, Holiday Inn Express and Hamption Inn & Suites in Vineland. The agreement between Tower Hospitality and the Levoy provides for 15 percent discounts at those establishments, according to the Levoy's website.

Tower Hospitality also runs a Denny's and Bennigan's in Vineland.

Tower Hospitality Vice President of Operations and Sales Janice Jones said the company is run by a "local family with many ties to the area and a long history of patronizing and supporting the Levoy prior to its recent renovation."

"We are thrilled to partner with the Levoy again this year," she said.

Jones said the number of rooms booked during the agreement's first year exceeded Tower Hospitality's expectations.

In announcing the original agreement last year, officials with the Levoy and Tower Hospitality said that most of the theater's performances are on Fridays and Saturdays.

That allows Levoy patrons to turn their theater trip into a weekend stay and visit other attractions such as the Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center, the downtown Art District and the New Jersey Motorsports Park.
