VINELAND – City police said they have arrested two men in connection with an arson-burglary that occurred here earlier this month.

City police said a house on Deborah Court was intentionally set on fire after the two men allegedly took items from the property.

An investigation into the incident, for which no date was available, resulted in the Dec. 27 arrest of 30-year-old city resident Raheim Stewart, authorities said. Rigo Santiago, 25, also of Vineland, was arrested the following day.

Stewart and Santiago are both charged with aggravated arson, conspiracy to commit aggravated arson, burglary, theft and receiving stolen property. They were both lodged in the Cumberland County jail in Bridgeton in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Authorities said Stewart and Santiago were “developed … as suspects” after detectives from the Police Department here recovered items the duo allegedly took from the Deborah Court property.

Agencies that assisted in the investigation included the city’s Fire Department and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
