Judge says New Jersey cops need warrant for cellphone data

NEWARK - Police in New Jersey will soon have to get a warrant if they want to track a suspect using cellphone data, the state's Supreme Court ruled Thursday in a decision that affords citizens here more privacy protections than they enjoy under federal law.
