The dolphins were found Wednesday morning in Sea Bright and in the afternoon in Spring Lake, according to the Mammal Marine Stranding Center in Brigantine. The dolphin found in Spring Lake was taken for testing, the center said.

The deaths have been declared an “unusual mortality event” by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration because of the significant number of dolphins found between New York and Virginia.
