STAFFORD TOWNSHIP - A pedestrian was struck by a car after attempting to cross Route 72 on Thursday morning, police said.

According to police reports, Ntmisha Patel, 37, of Manahwakin, was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for treatment. Patel was struck by a car driven by Laurene Brennan Lally, 54, also of Manahakwin, as Lally was traveling westbound at 6:11 a.m.

Patel was taken by the Stafford First Aid Squad to Atlantic City for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
