STAFFORD TOWNSHIP - The Policemen's Benevolent Association Local 297 plans to hold a benefit concert for five police officers from the Stafford Township Police Department who will be laid off Wednesday if the PBA does not accept the township's contract offer.

The benefit concert will feature the acoustic music of township police officer Chris Fritz, playing the music of the Grateful Dead and Pearl Jam.

The concert is scheduled for 8:30 10:30 p.m. Friday at the Spray Beach Inn, 200 East 24th St. in the Spray Beach section of Long Beach Township.

Admission is $15; all proceeds benefit PBA Local 297 and the five police officers facing layoffs.

There will be door prizes, gift basket raffles and food and beverages available for purchase.
